Brown Mackie College — Cincinnati Offers Associate of Applied Science Degree Program in Biomedical Equipment Technology

(Cincinnati – January 27, 2012) Brown Mackie College — Cincinnati has begun offering a new Associate of Applied Science degree program in Biomedical Equipment Technology. The program, which was introduced in response to the increasing demands of the health care industry, will prepare students to pursue a variety of positions in an industry that provides and maintains diagnostic, treatment, and life support equipment in the health and medical fields.
While studying Biomedical Equipment Technology, students will learn solid state and digital electronics technology, coupled with several courses specific to the repair, maintenance, and calibration of equipment found in the health care field. Graduates of this program will be prepared to pursue entry-level employment opportunities in the health care setting where a wide variety of equipment is used daily in the diagnosis, care, and treatment of patients.
